About Shrutin

Hi! Thanks for stopping by.

I am Shrutin Shetty, just an average Indian who dreams of making a difference. To improve, to touch lives, the world over. I’m a dreamer and mostly an optimist.

I run a service called A-Team Business Consulting, working as a Growth Partner and a Catalyst of Choice to enterprising small & medium businesses in India and abroad. Service offerings use human-centered design thinking to conceptualize and execute solutions that help companies differentiate, innovate and delight customers.

I also work with startups in India & abroad, offering a host of relevant & affordable services ranging from business idea validation to preparing strategy maps and business plans, to designing their medium-to-long term growth and customer strategy; all that via a service called Think A-Team.

In my country (India), corruption, greed, excessive jugaad, and short-cuts have become commonplace. I want to change that. As doing so will truly unlock the potential this country and its people have.

How can it be done? While I don’t see a map or a walk-through yet, with some belief, and small and sustained changes in my interactions with individuals and young impressionable businesses, I hope to do my bit to help steer India toward the glory and respect that she truly deserves.

Prior to starting up, I used to try selling robots to automotive companies. My limited experience started with a short stint in a restaurant business (a really long time ago), at a BPO, a fairly long stint at a Venture Capital firm, as a Freelance Business Consultant, and then heading western India operations as General Manager of a high-technology manufacturing company.

And after all that, I now stand at the beginning of the road on my journey towards making that difference to India and hopefully the world.

Some of my interests include social innovations, understanding and improving the customer experience, perceivable differentiation of business & their offerings, simpler and more transparent business models and services, business ethics, automation, and innovative businesses that aren’t just innovative names. And of course, simplicity in solution and design.

Simplicity interests me, because at the end of the day, it is usually things most simple (be it in thought, ideas, methods, or logic) that save the day in life and in business, not the well-thought-out, interwoven, multi-layered strategies.

This is my personal blog where I express my views, experiences and ideas. I would be glad to receive meaningful views and comments on topics of mutual interest.

I look forward to interacting with you here.

Great goal Shrutin! Unfortunately, the barriers you have outlined exists in all resource constrained and resource limited countries. If you can achieve it for India, maybe you can test your model on the other BRICS. I’m Brasilian American and it is unbelievable the amount of challenges that exist to conduct simple business.

I’m in awe of you and know you will create a viable model!

Thank you Clarissa.! Great or not, it sure is a challenging goal. I’ll surely be working toward it. And just so you know, your comment and confidence in me isn’t creating any performance pressures whatsoever. 😉
By the way, Ms. Behavioral Science expert; I sure could use your help on this. In case you’re interested, let me know. I’m still at the starting line anyway. And can I have your email id [I see a suspicious looking hotmail id here, that yours?] I’m at shrutinshetty@gmail.com. As soon as I get a little more clarity on things, will connect and see if we can take on the big challenges and changes.
Thanks again for the inspiring comment.! Stay awesome.!

C'mon, let's have your views about it. That'll make both of us smarter. And trust me, it can be addictive.
